This isn't simply a design choice.

At Threefold Grace, we choose our packaging carefully based on what best protects the ingredients inside. For products containing essential oils, amber glass helps preserve quality, freshness, and effectiveness.

Essential Oils Are Sensitive to Light

Essential oils are natural plant extracts made up of delicate aromatic compounds.

While these compounds provide the wonderful scents and benefits people love, they can also be affected by prolonged exposure to light.

Fragrance oils are generally less sensitive to light exposure than essential oils and do not require the same level of UV protection.

Using two different packaging styles serves an important purpose. It allows our customers to quickly and easily identify whether a product is scented with essential oils or fragrance.

If you see an amber jar, you can confidently know the product is part of our essential oil collection.

If you see a clear jar, you can confidently know the product is part of our Sweet & Safe fragrance collection.
